Sondhar Charitable Trust provides free education, boarding, and family-like care to selected children from vulnerable backgrounds across Uttarakhand.

We especially consider applications for orphaned children, children with a single parent, and children whose guardians are unable to provide stable education and care.

Eligibility

Who Can Apply?

Applications may be submitted by guardians, surviving parents, relatives, village representatives, teachers, or community members who know the child's situation.

Priority Cases

  • Orphaned children
  • Children with a single parent
  • Children from severely underprivileged households
  • Children without stable access to education
  • Children needing safe boarding and daily care
  • Children from nearby or distant villages of Uttarakhand

The Process

How the Application Works

We have kept the process simple and respectful. No family should feel overwhelmed while trying to seek support for a child.

Submit Basic Details

Guardian shares the child's name, age, village, family situation, and contact details.

Document Review

Basic identification and supporting documents may be requested.

Personal Conversation

The Trust speaks with the guardian, family, or community reference to understand the child's situation.

Visit / Verification

Where needed, the team may conduct a visit or seek local verification.

Selection and Onboarding

Selected children are welcomed into Sondhar with care, patience, and gradual adjustment.
